Outreach![]() The Georgian Children's Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the children of Georgia. "Adoptions have been put on hold and the foster mother program that was in place disintegrated. Infants and children now must be put on a national registry and placed in orphanages and baby homes for a period of 6 months before they can be available for adoption internationally. As situations worsen over in Georgia, the institutions continue to deteriorate to a level where the reported survival rate in the orphanages is 50%... Many facilities have no windows in rooms, no consistant heat in winter, one has no running water..." -- Christine Walters Please consider offering your support by puchasing Cherished Lands, Images of Georgia, a beautiful full-color calendar which has US and Georgian Holidays and depicts many scenes in Georgia as well as two months which have pictures of orphanages. The organization promises that no cash is handed off and no administrative fees taken. Since costs of the calendar have been covered by current purchases, 100% of future sales is going directly to the fund. Outreach suggestions & feedback welcomed at cmissanelli@nyc.rr.com. |
